The final round of the British Supersport Championship saw JW Racing finish the season off in style by securing a hard fought second place from fifth position on the grid. With additional help for the weekend by A1 Moto Services and Came the team were looking to finish the year very strongly. Fridays free practice sessions went very well with 21 year old James Westmoreland topping the timesheets and looking comfortable onboard his Triumph daytona 675. Qualifying on Saturday saw Westy immediately top the session but when the soft tyres came out he dropped back to 5th position. The team realised the set up was not quite 100% correct and some over night changes needed to be made ready to challange for the victory. Warm up was wet which meant James went into the race taking a big gamble the new set up would work. James made a good start and ended the first lap in 4th position, and began to chase down the leaders. On Lap 4 James passed Ben Wilson, and made his charge towards Plater and McConnell breaking the lap record in the process. On lap 10 James passed McConnell, and set his sights on Plater and despite a couple of passes and near misses he was not able to beat the HM Plant rider and was forced to settle for 2nd position. The race result confirmed James's 3rd place in the British Supersport Championship.
